Jill Amadio, Editor

Jill Amadio, born in England, is a journalist and author. She has written on the automotive industry for 20 years, covering motorsports, new vehicle introductions, and aftermarket products both in the United States and abroad. She was automotive editor for Gannett Newspapers for several years, and wrote for National Speed Sports News. Amadio was the public relations director for the Skoal Bandit Racing teams in CART, Winston Cup, and NHRA, representing Tom Sneva, Harry Gant, Stan Barrett, Teo Fabi, and Don Prudhomme. Her syndicated car column appears in the Washington Times, Houston Chronicle, Newsday, and 200 additional newspapers. She writes a monthly column for Entrepreneur magazine and has been published in Road & Track, Automotive Executive, Air Classics, Trailer Life, Longevity, and many other publications. One of her motorsports essays is included in the anthology Ladies, Start Your Engines, published by Faber and Faber. She also writes for MCI Racing. She has worked as a newspaper reporter in Spain, Thailand, and Columbia. Her latest book is a biography of Rudy Vallee, one of the first in the 1950s to demand seat belts as a standard feature.
