Skoda Beefs Up Roomster Scout

Czech brand Skoda doesn’t have an SUV at the moment, but one is expected in due course based on the Yeti concept.

However, that’s not stopped it offering buyers the chance to buy beefed-up versions of its other products. Following the Octavia Scout that debuted at September’s Paris Motor Show, this is the Roomster Scout.

Based on the quirkily styled Roomster compact minivan, it’s half an inch longer and wider than the standard car. But the big increase is in height – it’s nearly two inches taller. Exterior features include black body cladding, a silver rear bumper guard, and roof bars.

The car is making its debut at this month’s Bologna Motor Show in Italy, and will go on sale across Europe in the middle of next year with the choice of gasoline or diesel engines.
