With gas under two bucks a gallon in many parts of the United States, it's no surprise that Fiat Chrysler's Ram division has had a stellar 2016.
But it's not just cheap pump prices that are luring buyers into the division's pickups and its commercial cargo haulers. The flagship Ram 1500 may be one of the older designs on the market, but its just right combination of performance, features, driving quality, and value have made it one of our favorites.
There's not a lot to talk about this year, with most changes relegated to some reshuffling of features. But next year? We're likely to see a new mid-size pickup designed to compete with the Chevrolet Colorado, Honda Ridgeline, and Toyota Tacoma, and an all-new Ram isn't far off either.
For now, however, there's still plenty of reason to hit up a Ram dealership for a 2017.
