Desperate for a lift? Want to check out a new BMW while you're being chauffeured around town? Today could be your lucky day. That's because BMW has teamed up with Uber to offer free rides in the all-new 2016 BMW 7-Series.
There are, however, a couple of caveats -- the biggest being that you have to live in one of four major metro areas to take advantage of the offer. Residents of Chicago, Illinois, Miami, Floriday, Los Angeles, California, and New York CIty, New York, you've drawn the golden tickets.
CHECK OUT: RIP, Viper
Also, the offer is good for today only. The promo begins at noon in each city and runs for an unspecified period of time.
And of course, availability is limited. There are a finite number of new 7-Series models roaming city streets, and finding one may take a bit of luck (or a couple of sharp elbows).
If you prevail, though, you'll be able to get a lift from a "BMW Product Specialist" -- which could be a BMW sales person, or more likely someone who would've previously been called a "booth babe". He or she will take you anywhere in the city for absolutely $0. (No word on whether the driver will be able to rate you on the Uber app if you don't tip.)
What's more, if you're a true BMW fan, you'll also be able to use the Uber app to arrange an on-demand test drive, with a vehicle delivered directly to you. That program began on Saturday, October 17, and like the free rides, it'll end today.
If you want to keep motoring around in the 2016 BMW 7-Series after today, we're afraid you'll have to shell out for one. The sedan starts at $82,295, including destination charges. It goes on sale this Saturday, October 24.
