New for 2014, Jaguar's F-Type added a hardtop coupe edition that impressed us even more than the roadster. The outshining continues this year, as the F-Type lineup adds all-wheel drive and a new manual-transmission option on base versions--and finishes out the lineup with a flourish in the form of the new F-Type Convertible R.
Until recently, anyone looking for design excitement in the mid-size sedan arena was sure to be unimpressed. But over the past several years, two models that bring some much-needed flair to the segment are the Ford Fusion and the Mazda 6.
This morning, Nissan issued two recalls affecting more than 300,000 late-model Nissan Versa, Versa Note, and Armada vehicles. The Versa and Versa note are being recalled to fix a design flaw that could prevent drivers from hitting their brakes, while the Armada recall stems from a problem with the SUV's seatbelts.

A couple of weeks ago, we heard that Nissan was tossing up a radical change in direction for its next Z car, one that would ditch the conventional sports car format in favor of a small, sporty crossover body. As previously reported, the logic behind such a move is to get new, younger enthusiasts interested in the brand. In case you had somehow missed it, crossovers are all the rage these days.
News of Jeep’s next-generation Wrangler has been making headlines for years but we now have our first solid evidence that work on the redesigned off-roader is well underway. A test mule for the new Wrangler has just been spotted undergoing hot-weather testing in the Southwest.
Ford’s sixth-generation Mustang is already the top selling sports car in the world over the first six months of the year, based on data compiled by industry source IHS Automotive, and at the current rate of sales it’s poised to be the world’s most popular sports car for 2015. Mazda’s MX-5 Miata held the title for 2014.

The 2016 Scion iM compact hatchback is the second two of new Scion models for 2016, joining the iA subcompact sedan. It's part of a much-needed new lineup that takes Toyota's youth brand away from funky "tall box" cars or 10-foot-long urban cars and gives it a product that competes in the heart of the small-car market.
Tesla and Panasonic work closely together on battery-cell production for the carmaker's high-end electric cars. Panasonic currently produces all cells for the Tesla Model S, and also owns a small stake in the carmaker.
Electric powertrains have been applied to a wide variety of road vehicles to reduce emissions, from small city cars, to fairly large delivery trucks. But there's one category of vehicle where electrification hasn't really been considered.
