Audi TT Clubsport Turbo concept, 2015 Wörthersee Tour
Austria’s annual Wörthersee Tour tuning fest is on again this month, and Audi is set to be one of the stars thanks to its 600-horsepower TT Clubsport Turbo concept unveiled today. The track-tuned concept looks similar to Audi’s TT Cup racer but it sports a larger 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine which thanks to some innovative technologies produces a supercar-like 600 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque.
The last time we saw a Bugatti-inspired desk, it was a $240,000 hyper-modern, aluminum and glass construction meant to evoke the Bugatti Type 35 Grand Prix. But the offering from Design Epicentrum—labeled on its website the Unique Racing Desk— is actually designed to look just like a Bugatti, in this case a Veyron.
Come June of next year Volkswagen’s GTI will have turned 40, and you can bet the German automaker will have something special planned, just as it did when the GTI turned 30 and then again when the popular hot hatch turned 35. We’ve previously spotted prototypes for a hotter GTI that may be launched as a 40th anniversary model, a model we thought might be called a Clubsport, and now VW has rolled out a GTI Clubsport concept that may just hint at the planned production version.

Access to the carpool lane in California with only a single occupant has proven to be one of the more effective incentives to get the state's drivers to buy electric cars. The first year and a half of Chevy Volt range-extended electric cars didn't qualify, but Volt sales in California surged once buyers could add the crucial green sticker to their Volts.
The sales-weighted average fuel economy of new cars and trucks sold in the U.S. declined last month, although it remains high overall. Average window-sticker fuel economy for new vehicles in April was 25.2 mpg, representing a decrease of 0.2 mpg from March.
