RECALL #2: 2014 FORD TRANSIT CONNECT
UNITS AFFECTED: 16,091 VEHICLES IN THE U.S.
Ford says that in these vans, the fasteners that hold the Transit Connect's safety belts in place may not have been properly tightened. As a result, they can loosen over time, which can prevent them from performing as they should during an accident.
The recall affects Transit Connect vehicles built between November 6, 2013 and September 20, 2014. Ford says that dealers will not only replace the safety belt fasteners and tighten them appropriately, they will also replace and tighten the vans' cargo tie-downs.
