When Mercedes added the CLA to its lineup last year, it brought two distinctions: It was (and still is) the smallest car in the Mercedes lineup, and it was the first front-wheel-drive model the brand has sold in the U.S. The CLA is priced, styled, and engineered to grab eyeballs and younger buyers.
Last month, we told you that The Center for Auto Safety had accused Honda of under-reporting Takata airbag failures in its vehicles (allegedly because Honda and Takata have such a close working relationship). Around the same time, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration asked Honda to submit a report on complaints and claims filed against the automaker over the past 11 years.

2015 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution
Mitsubishi’s U.S. chief has confirmed what most of us already knew: That there won’t be a direct replacement for the awesome Lancer Evolution when the current model bows out of the market after the 2015 model year.
Since its introduction for 2009, the R35 Nissan GT-R has continued to be upgraded and refined and with each successive model year. Typically, these upgrades are introduced first in the GT-R’s home market of Japan, so the latest version of the GT-R that has just gone on sale in Japan may hint at some of the upgrades scheduled for the 2016 GT-R due in local showrooms next year.
Vehicle tuner Saleen looks to be in some serious financial trouble, with a recent quarterly report filed by the company with the Securities and Exchange Commission revealing the dire situation. According to the report, Saleen had just $7,261 in cash as of September 30, 2014.
2015 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel

Since 2012, truck makers have responded to increasingly stiff corporate average fuel economy rules by steadily improving fuel efficiency in their high-volume trucks.

Southern California Edison (SCE) recently announced that it will purchase 250 megawatts of energy storage, as part of a larger 2,221-MW purchase of new generation assets.
Tesla Motors has now completed upgrades to its Fremont, California, plant ahead of an expected production increase. The electric car-maker shut down the factory for two weeks in late summer to complete modifications to handle the addition of the all-wheel drive Dual Motor Model S.
