2013-2014 Ford Escape Recalled for Misaligned Door Handles

June 13, 2014

Ford has found that certain 2013 -2014 Ford Escapes built at the Louisville Assembly plant during certain dates have door handles that were misaligned to the door outer panel during assembly.

A misaligned door handle may cause internal interference of the door linkage and a binding condition. This may result in a door that is difficult to close, or potentially opens while driving, increasing the risk of injury to an occupant.
