Building on last year’s styling changes inside and out, the 2015 Kia Optima gets a handful of minor improvements to technology and interior refinement. The 2015 Optima will continue to be offered in five trim levels ranging from the base LX up to the luxurious SX-Limited.
On the tech side, the 2015 Kia Optima now offers an enhanced version of Kia’s UVO infotainment system with four new eServices: Geo Fencing, Driving Score, Speed Alerts and Curfew Alerts. These features will not be available on the base LX trim, but buyers opting for that trim level will still be able to utilize services like My POI, 911 Connect, Vehicle Diagnostics and Parking Minder.
All 2015 Kia Optima trim levels will now come standard with an acoustic laminated windshield, which was only offered last year on the range-topping SX-Limited. Other minor updates include new steering wheel trim on the SX-Limited with a brushed metallic look, and all Optima models will get new placement of the cruise control switches making it easier for driver’s to reach the buttons. Finally, the 2015 Kia Optima gets three new exterior paint colors: Smokey Blue, Sparkling Silver and Platinum Graphite.
