2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid
Both the 2014 Subaru Impreza and the 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek have earned the top nod from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The new results apply to both the sedan and hatchback versions of the Impreza—and to the XV Crosstrek, which is only offered as a hatchback.
Chrysler is recalling 2014 models of the Jeep Grand Cherokee -- specifically, those vehicles manufactured between January 8, 2013 and August 20, 2013. The recall stems from unrelated problems with the Grand Cherokee's software and electrical wiring.

Early demand for BMW's i3 electric car in Europe looks set to continue when it debuts in the United States, according to the company's North American CEO. Despite plans to produce just 10,000 units in its first year, BMW has considered expanding production after 8,000 reservations were made on the car's launch in Europe.
