Toyota Corolla Flubs Crash Test, 30 Days of Mercedes CLA: This Week In Social Media

October 5, 2013

If you've been keeping up with us on social media this week, then you already know we started the week by driving the new 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid. And while we can't tell you how it drives yet, we can tell you all about the new 2014 Buick Regal and LaCrosse we drove.

Tesla made headlines this week when a Model S collided with metal debris on on a highway resulting in a ruptured battery pack which then caught on fire.

Meanwhile we took a look at the numbers for new-car sales in September. Spoiler alert: August sales were better. This week also marked the beginning of 30 Days of the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250.

In Florida the validity of some DUI arrests were called into question, and the first Korean electric car to come to America will be the Kia Soul EV, which arrives in 2014. Oh, and the new 2014 Toyota Corolla? It only earned a 'marginal' in the critical new frontal crash test.

We can't forget that it was national "Name Your Car Day" this week. Hope you named your car, or it has a name, or it's getting a name. Basically, give your car a name.

If all of this is breaking news to you, then you clearly aren't following us on your favorite social networks. Make sure you're connected with us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and everywhere else, and catch up on what you missed here via #Storify.
