Today at High Gear Media, car dealers are taking on Tesla for selling its cars direct to consumers, and Chevrolet unveiled the new V-8 engine that will power the 2014 Corvette. Acura's NSX Hybrid is expected to debut in production form at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show, and Audi appears to have shelved plans to build the R8 e-tron.
