Planning to purchase a new Chevrolet or GMC vehicle in the coming months? If so, you might want to head over to Costco. According to a report in Automotive News, the wholesale club is offering special deals on select light trucks through January 3, 2012.
Shoppers who purchase a Chevy or GMC during the promotion will receive "preferred pricing" on their vehicle of choice. The discount isn't quite as deep as the one offered to dealership employees, but it's comparable to that given to employees of GM suppliers. The discount will vary by vehicle, and it can be combined with other rebates and incentives.
As an added bonus, buyers will also receive a $500 Costco Cash Card. It's expected that over 5,000 people will take advantage of the deal.
Models eligible for the Costco/GMC discount are the Chevrolet Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, and Traverse, as well as the GMC Acadia, Sierra, Yukon, and Yukon XL. The promotion includes vehicles from both the 2011 and 2012 models years.
In order to take advantage of the savings, you'll need to (a) be a Costco member and (b) register with the Costco Auto Program. After your purchase, you'll need to fill out some paperwork in order to receive your $500 Costco Cash Card.
