2012 Hyundai Veloster
Late last night, John Krafcik, CEO of Hyundai Motor America, tweeted on his personal account that the 2012 Veloster will have a base price of $17,300. The tweet did not include information as to whether that number includes destination charges or any other details.
Krafcik also tweeted that full pricing information will be available later in the week. A $17K base price undercuts some of the hatchback competition, such as the new Ford Focus, Mazda3 hatchback, and Honda CR-Z. The first two in that list have four side doors while the Honda has only two. The new Veloster will split the difference with a funky third side door on the passenger side only.
Stay tuned for more news about the 2012 Hyundai Veloster as we near the official launch later this summer.
