With the U.S. budget in shambles and an August 2 deadline looming on raising the debt ceiling, many consumers are thinking hard about whether they can afford a new vehicle. But then again, some may feel they can't afford not to buy a new vehicle.
If our budget problem isn't resolved before August 2, many are concerned that interest rates will rise or loans will begin to dry up. Add in rising used car prices and the lack of incentives on some new cars, and you have a sticky situation.
So today we ask you, are you able to afford a new car? Tweet us your response and make sure to include the hashtag #CarBuying -- and you'll join the chorus right here via CoverItLive.
