Gas taxes are a sore subject this week, whether you're the president of the United States or the CEO of GM.
The economy is staggering, and gas prices are fluctuating near $4 a gallon. And still, this past week, GM CEO Dan Akerson said he thinks we should raise the gas tax so people will buy more fuel-efficient cars.
Maybe it's not the best thing to say when your company was bailed out by the federal government and is now building an electric car. But is Akerson right? Should we pay the extra dollar to pony up for a less gas-reliant infrastructure?
We want to hear what you think. Should gas taxes go up $1? Tweet us your response and make sure to include the hashtag #GasTax-- and you'll join the chorus right here via CoverItLive.
