As many of our loyal SocialCarNews readers know, we ran a writing contest asking people to tell us about their favorite auto show moment. The contest was sponsored by High Gear Media, Hyundai, and the New York International Auto Show. Our amazing editorial brain trust took all the submissions and examined them over a nice cold Monster. After reading through all the submissions it was clear that Brian E. Parker had swept the competition under the rug.
Brian won our hearts when he submitted his memorable auto show moment, the 1991 Tokyo Motor Show. Brian wrote with so much detail, that we almost felt like we were there with him. He even went so far as to compare and contrast U.S. auto shows and the Tokyo Motor Show.
Last week Brian flew out to New York City and walked the show floor with us. Running from press conference to press conference. Living off crappy coffee and weak wifi, Brian saw what it was like to attend auto show press days.
We had a chance to catch up with the contest sponsors, too. We took this opportunity to have Brian interview Mike O'Brien, VP Product and Corporate Planning for Hyundai. Watch as Brian asks Mr. O'Brien some hard-hitting questions:
