KBB Names The Hottest Pickup Trucks, New And Used

January 31, 2011

Anyone who knows anything about the automotive industry and truck sales knows that Ford’s F-Series trucks are a runaway best seller in North America. In fact, in 2010 the best-selling vehicle in the country—car, truck, or SUV—was the Ford F-Series, followed by Chevy’s Silverado truck.

What’s hot now? Which trucks are consumers researching, hoping to buy either now or in the near future? To answer that question I check Kelly Blue Book, one of the sources many consumers use for determining used vehicle prices around the country. KBB.com is also a resource for new vehicle information.

Most Used Pickup Truck Searches

It’s clear that pre-owned truck buyers around the country are sold on Ford the F-Series pick-up truck. Ford’s popular truck series comprises the majority of vehicles on KBB’s top ten most researched used pick-ups. Here is the list:

1.       2007 Ford F150 SuperCrew Cab

2.       2004 Ford F150 SuperCab

3.       2003 Chevy Silverado 1500 Extended Cab

9.       2008 Ford F150SuperCrew Cab

Ford’s SuperCrew Cab made this top ten list a total of five times. It’s obviously a good choice if you’re in the market for a pre-owned four-door pickup truck. After all, how can so many knowledgeable truck enthusiasts be wrong?
