This popular car manufacturer, a General Motors subsidiary, has been making great cars since 1985. That’s almost twenty-five years of high quality service, and with that kind of history, you know Saturn is a brand you can trust. Furthermore, even older Saturns are soon going to become highly enviable to own, as the company stopped producing new vehicles in 2009. The company is expected to shut down in late 2010, meaning that Saturns will soon be a relic of the past and their prices may increase. If you’ve been on the fence about buying a Saturn, now is the time to buy.

Since its inception, the car company has won a lot of major awards in the automobile industry. In the year 2000, the Saturn was voted as MotorWeek’s “Best Family Sedan,” Intellichoice’s “Best Overall Value of the Year,” and “Most Valuable Pollution Prevention.” In 2007, the Saturn Aura was named “North American Car of the Year,” and most, recently, in 2008, the Saturn Outlook was named “Best Family Car” by Parents Magazine and Edmunds; “Best Crossover Utility” from Motorweek; and “Best New Family Vehicle” from Kelley Blue Book. While you shouldn’t rely on awards and distinctions alone to help you choose a car or a car manufacturer, these recognitions are just further proof that Saturn makes cars you can depend on.

Of course, with such a long history, there are a ton of different Saturn models to choose from. You should take your time deciding which one is right for you. For those interested in compact sedans or coupes, the Saturn S-Series and the Saturn Ion are both great choices. Mid-sized Sedans can also be found in the Saturn L-Series, which is also considered a station wagon, and the Saturn Aura. For those interested in crossovers, the Saturn Vue is a great, compact choice, while the Saturn Outlook is a full size option. The Saturn Relay is perfect for those looking for a family style minivan, while the Saturn Sky is the choice for those who want to own a real roadster. The Saturn Astra is also well loved by drivers everywhere and is designed as a unique compact three or five door hatchback. Take your time deciding, and go with the Saturn that you like the most and that is the best suited to your wants and needs.
