It's Wednesday, which can only mean two things: (a) we're halfway to the weekend, and (b) we're feeling a little punchy. What better time to mention Renault's campaign to raise awareness of its new Wind convertible among strippers, exhibitionists, and famejunkies?
The gist of the campaign is pretty simple: contestants film themselves stripping "from winter clothing to summer attire in 12 seconds or less" (12 seconds being the amount of time it takes the Wind's roof to retract). There aren't many rules apart from that, so show-offs have plenty of room to get creative. That creativity will be key, since Renault's panel of judges will be "looking out for the most fun, inventive and unique strips; the ones with joie de vivre."
All in all, this seems like a fun campaign -- one that engages the target market and teaches them about Renault's new product, too. If there's something else the campaign ought to do, by all means let us know.
We should also note that although the contest is clearly aimed at U.K. residents, and although the grand prize will be a right-hand drive car, there doesn't seem to be any residency restriction in the contest rules, so we suppose anyone's eligible.
