Land Rover continues to make changes to its lineup. We know about the upcoming 2012 Evoque, and today we're previewing the next Land Rover LR2.
The 2011 LR2 gets updated interior and exterior styling, including a new front bumper and two-bar grille, which is meant to make the LR2 look more like the LR4. There are three new paint color choices, and new alloy wheels. The inside gets a new instrument cluster.
For the U.S., the only available engine remains a 3.2-liter inline-six that makes 230 horsepower. But Land Rover is promising that the engine will make fewer emissions going forward. A front-wheel drive setup is also available for the first time.
Other changes involve new seat styles, and a change to the Land Rover logo--it's now silver-on-green instead of gold-on-green. There are also new halogen-projector headlights, and the taillights are updated, too. The rest of the changes concern modest upgrades to trim and content.
There has been no pricing information released, and the launch date isn't yet set, although the 2011 Land Rover LR2 will likely go on-sale later this summer.
