Automakers and accessory companies have been all over promoting their brands via the Apple iPhone and its new iPod touch and iPad siblings, and some--particularly GM--have even found ways to entice potential customers and enhance the new car shopping experience. In fact, the Chevrolet brand is among the first to create a shopping app for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad that allows users to research and locate the vehicle they desire.
Dubbed the Chevrolet Showroom app, the new feature is available now for free via the App Store and it includes the brand’s entire vehicle fleet of cars, trucks and crossovers.
With it, customers can look up current offers and incentives, pick and choose different color and trim options, and even test a payment and affordability calculator. Once info on a desired vehicle is collated, users can then search for a matching vehicle in a nearby dealer’s inventory.
The story doesn’t end there as once a vehicle has been located, users can save it to their device and share it with friends and family via e-mail or Facebook. A unique click-to-call feature also easily allows customers to call their local Chevrolet dealer for more information or request a quote.
If you don’t own an iPhone or similar Apple product, don’t sweat. Users of other smartphones can find similar features at the Chevrolet mobile website http://m.Chevy.com.
