Winner: Volkswagen Australia's "Marco Polo" campaign on Facebook
Volkswagen wanted to promote the Polo to young, hip influencers in Australia. Naturally, they thought of Facebook -- no big deal there. But adding tickets to cool events in major cities was a stroke of genius, and throwing in the "Marco...Polo" game kept the tone light and engaging. We eagerly await a similar campaign here in the States.
Runner-up: Chevy Baseball app for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch [iTunes link]
Call 'em Chevrolet, Chevy, or Those Guys Who Make the Corvette: no matter which team you bat for, the Chevy Baseball app is a home run. Sure, the promotional area is a little wonky, but the baseball gameplay is really good -- and isn't that all that matters?
