2011 Ford Super Duty
PickupTrucks.com is reporting today that the first production units of the 2011 Ford F-Series Super Duty heavy-duty truck have begun hitting dealer lots this week.
The Web site says pictures of trucks on dealer lots have starting hitting the Internet, as well.
We've known that the truck was heading to market for some time now, so it's good to see that this truck is finally hitting stores. With Chrysler and General Motors also releasing updated versions of their heavy-duty trucks this year, there's a chance that there will be a good old-fashioned sales war between the three truck makers. That could be good for the industry, especially as demand for heavy trucks grows in an economy that many say has begun to recover from the recession.
No matter what happens, it's likely customers were waiting for these trucks to hit showrooms. With the Ford trucks hitting showrooms now and the GM and Chrysler models not far behind, it's going to be an interesting year for heavy-truck shoppers.
