Sergio Marchionne has big goals for both the Chrysler Group and Fiat S.p.A, including the (re)launch of Fiat and Alfa Romeo in the U.S. and the expansion of Chrysler sales in Europe. In laying the groundwork for those plans, we've heard that Marchionne may merge the Chrysler and Lancia brands by the end of 2010, given their complementary range of vehicles. Now comes word of more streamlining: three of the biggest brands under Fiat's umbrella -- Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Abarth -- may also be grouped together and run by one set of executives.
