We write a lot about Tesla, certainly more than their share of the sports car market, given that they're just coming up on 1,000 cars delivered. But the 2009 Tesla Roadster that we reviewed last spring is one amazing electric vehicle.
And now you too can have the chance to road-test a Tesla. In fact, you might be able to drive their new, even faster 2010 Tesla Roadster Sport.
That's the one with the tweaked software and hotter electric motor. The one that rockets from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, embarassing most nearby Porsches and Ferraris in a near-silent surge of all-electric power.
To do that, though, you have to write for us. Specifically, High Gear Media has partnered with Tesla to mount our latest writing contest, which runs through December 31.
We're looking for the best article submitted by a user (as judged by our editorial team).
On January 20, the winning author gets flown to San Francisco for an interview with various Tesla staff, and then gets the chance to test-drive the 2010 Roadster Sport along with executive editor Marty Padgett.

And just to tantalize you a little, the photo below shows yours truly at the wheel of that 2009 Roadster, grinning like a maniac after a series of, ummmm, speedy runs along the San Francisco Peninsula's scenic Skyline Drive.
That. Could. Be. You.
