Just a few weeks after canning the Saturn brand on a failed sale to Penske, GM is nabbing what would have been the next-gen Aura and turning it into the 2011 Buick Regal. Basically a restyled Opel Insignia, the car is being positioned as an attractive and sporty addition to the new Buick line. Check out the stories at TheCarConnection and Motor Authority for all the insight into the car's capabilities and intentions.

Today on Fox Car Report, our own Marty Padgett will be beaming in to discuss the latest from Buick, plus all the hottest vehicles of the 2010 model year and more. Hit the link below for details on how you can follow along.

Over at GreenCarReports, John Voelcker takes a look at at NHTSA report that seems to say hybrids are a pedestrian's biggest enemy on the mean streets of most cities. Their quiet behavior in electric-only mode may be the factor in play, as pedestrians can't hear them coming and step out into their path.

Meanwhile, CelebsAndCars takes a humorous look at Gwen Stefani decked out in Gene Autry garb while exiting a Range Rover Sport. Turns out it's some left over Halloween snappage, but it's still a fantastic setup for an array of puns, jokes and jabs.

There's even more to explore around the High Gear Media network, including a battle of the small, box-like cars known as the Nissan Cube and Kia Soul, a review of the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox, news of a reborn classic Mustang GT500CR, and an investigation into the reality of the country's oil reserve.
