Honda, Acura Offer Domestic Partner Benefits

October 27, 2009

Honda is one of the most popular auto brands among LGBT consumers, so it's slightly surprising that the company only recently began offering domestic-partner benefits to all of its employees. (Sales and marketing staff got the option in 2008, but manufacturing folks weren't brought on until this year.) Still, we're happy to report that Honda and its flashier sister, Acura, have finally been added to GayWheels' list of gay-friendly automakers, which already includes brands from BMW, Chrysler, GM, Ford, Nissan, Toyota, Volkswagen...well, you get the picture. Given Honda's size and stature, we might've assumed it joined the gay-friendly ranks years ago, but better late than never, right? [GayWheels]
