The Story of Snow White: A Crash Scene Investigator's Perspective (Pt. 1)

October 27, 2009

This is the first page of a serialized story about one of my CxSI cases.

This one is not typical because the defendant is not one of the automobile manufacturers. In most of  the cases I testified as an expert witness in the subjects of automobile design and testing. I claimed that it might be true that stupid drivers cause accidents (I call those COLLISIONS), but malpractice of negligent engineering design caused the resulting injuries to be severe.

One Autumn Morning...

Early morning on a bright colorful autumn day, Marilyn sat in her idling Pontiac Grand Am. She first looked to her left toward the top of the hill more than 600 feet away. Not seeing or hearing another car coming she turned and looked up the hill on her right and listened for nearby traffic there, too.  She did not see or hear any, so she moved out, turning left onto SR44, the two lane State Road into Smithtown, going to high school.

Marilyn did not make it.
