Honda says it's considering construction of a "green" sports car, while on the flip side, Nissan says it's not going to build and Prius-like dedicated hybrids. Another tuner Camaro--this one dressed as a Pontiac Trans-Am--is out ahead of the upcoming SEMA show, and Motor Authority has a preview of what the face-lifted 2010 BMW 3-Series Coupe will look like today.

Other hot topics include new details on the upcoming, updated RX-8, which will be an "evolutionary" development on the current model, Infiniti's new "Forest Air" climate control system that tackles odor and humidity while adding a natural feel to its breezy air delivery, and the next-gen Land Rover Defender is due out in 2013, though it's still probably not in the cards for Americans.

Finally, the Porsche-VW union could bear 911-platform fruit--Porsche's new CEO, Michael Macht, is quoted as saying the company must share its 911 and Panamera platforms for the good of the whole. All this and more today at High Gear Media.
