Ever watch one of those old Pan Am ads where everyone on the 707 is wearing suits and ties, or cocktail dresses and high heels, standing around in sophisticated poses ... and smoking like chimneys?
We got that same Lost World, never-again-in-our-time feeling when we saw the photo above.
Yes, they're an accessory for the 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham, fabulous in its own right. And, yes, they're metal shot glasses with magnets on the bottom so they don't overturn at speed.
We almost never wish we were back in the Fifties. It was a lousy decade for many, despite "The Beast" from Milt Buckner in 1959, for which we've included a bonus video below.
But, ya know, every now and then, we slip. 'Cause, you know, we really, really love the idea of factory accessory shot glasses. [sigh]
