Luca Di Montezemolo's Ferrari team may be at the center of the current meltdown in Formula 1, but that's not enough to stop the Prancing Horse brand from supporting its favorite charities. This time, Montezemolo will offer his own personal Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano for auction to support students pursuing automotive innovations.

The charity auction also marks the first time Ferrari has conducted an online auction of one of its own cars - taking advantage of a technological innovation in an automotive field.

So what do you get if you're the winning bidder? Aside from the knowledge that you're driving around in the car that Ferrari's Chairman himself once drove, you'll get a 2006 599 GTB in Rosso Monza red with charcoal leather interior, carbon fiber interior trim, carbon ceramic brakes and just 3,589 miles on the odometer. Apparently Montezemolo has a fairly short commute.

If you have the mind - and the money - to make a run at the car, get over to the official site, because bidding ends June 29 at 3:00pm GMT. Currently the price is at €190,000.00, or about $265,000.
