Don't know what to get mom for Mother's Day? Tired of the same old roses and chocolates and cartons of Pall Mall? Worried she might not appreciate the hipster irony of a strip-o-gram? Then how's about getting her something every mother can enjoy: a car.
Yeah, cars make for fairly expensive gifts--but c'mon, she's your mom. And besides, Kelley Blue Book has already helped narrow down your options with its list of "10 Great Mom Cars". They've even split vehicles into categories, depending on whether your mommy dearest is a needer (e.g. needing to haul the kids to jai-alai practice, or wherever kids go these days) or a wanter (e.g. wanting something to get her out of town for a romantic weekend, presumably with hubby). Considerate, no?
Basically, the list boils down to wagons and SUVs on one side and sporty models on the other. Added bonus: most of the vehicles are the sort of thing everyone can enjoy, meaning that you'll have something cool to borrow from mom now and then. Sadly, there aren't any muscle cars on the list--but then, Kelly Ripa's kids can probably fend for themselves.
