We've shown you the 2010 Volkswagen Golf, previewed the Euro-spec version of the 2010 Volkswagen GTI, and explained why Volkswagen is dumping the Rabbit name and reverting to Golf. What's left for the 2009 New York auto show introduction of both, you ask? Just a handful of luscious photos, here for your media consumption.
The new Golf and GTI go on sale later this year. New for the Golf in the U.S. this time around is a clean-diesel TDI edition with 140 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque.
The GTI brings with it a 200-horsepower turbo four with a six-speed manual or optional six-speed DSG dual-clutch gearbox, a lovely interior with red trim and stitching, and a higher pricetag (we're thinking mid-$20,000s).
Stay tuned: we'll be driving both this summer.
