Last year, German automaker Audi went to the Super Bowl for the first time in decades--advertising during the NFL championship game with a spot that showed off the brand and its wunderbar 2008 Audi R8 supercar.

Audi says the spot was so successful, it's heading back to the big game in January. During Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa, Fla., Audi's signed up for 60 seconds of ad space during the first quarter of the game. They're hoping to repeat last year's performance, which had them ranked by Nielsen as the second most buzzworthy spot in the game.

This year's ad hasn't been previewed, so you'll have to settle for a rerun of last year's cool clip in the meantime. Super Bowl XLIII kicks off in Tampa on February 1, 2009.
