2009 Kia Soul
In advance of this week's London motor show, Kia let loose with the details on the Soul's engines. The four-cylinders range from 1.6 liters to 2.0 liters, and one of the three engines is a 1.6-liter diesel with a variable-geometry turbocharger.
The 2009 Soul is a front-drive wagon, 161.6 inches long, 100.4 inches in wheelbase, 63.4 inches tall, and 70.3 inches wide, minus the side mirrors. Kia says it's going to start building the Soul in November and will put it on sale in April of 2009 in the United States.
And yet, the story is not over. The official worldwide introduction of the Soul is to take place this fall at the Paris auto show. So that takes care of October's Soul news. What's coming in August and September? Take your shot, wise guys and gals, in a comment below. Keep it clean (unlike the graffiti here) and the comment that makes us laugh the loudest gets some fun schwag from the Lotus Evora press conference held this morning.
