After months of hard work by TheCarConnection.com’s teams in California, Israel, and all over the rest of the U.S., we’re proud to bring you the most comprehensive rethink of this Web site in its history.
We hope you’ll notice the big changes right away. We have a new way of doing reviews. We have a great new look and a new architecture that’s been developed to make it easier for you to find the car information you need quickly. And our new blogs will keep you in touch with what’s going on around the car world.
TheCarConnection.com’s New Reviews
Let’s start with our reviews. In our rethink of TheCarConnection.com, we realized that you have dozens of resources to study while shopping for—or just reading about—a new car. So we’re going to do some of the homework for you. Our new format is properly dubbed a “meta-review.” Take a look at the 2008 Ford Fusion for an example. First, we collect opinions from other trusted Web sites and compile them into a conclusive review—so you know precisely what the top auto reviewers from around the world think of a particular car. Then, TheCarConnection.com’s team of car experts—executive editor Marty Padgett and road test editors Bengt Halvorson and Rex Roy—add our own driving impressions and more details, where they help you get the information you need to make a decision.
We also write a condensed version of this review, to give you the “bottom line” on the car—what we think of its styling, performance, comfort and quality, safety, and features.
And on top of that, we’ve added new features to TheCarConnection.com’s reviews, including pricing information, consumer and professional opinions from around the Web, related news and specifications, along with free price quotes.
TCC’s Tips and Advice
TheCarConnection.com’s latest edition provides you with valuable tips and advice too. You can read the latest tips, or select a keyword from the “tag cloud” at the top of the page. This information will also show up on the pages with cars you’re researching, to help you in the shopping process.
News and Blogs
TheCarConnection.com hasn’t dropped news – it lives here instead. You’ll find industry news items over at TCC Team’s blog, while Marty Padgett will be covering the car news that’s most important to shoppers—including spy shots of all the upcoming vehicles for 2009 and beyond.
Our newsletters are still on hiatus as we examine the best way to bring TheCarConnection.com’s experience to an e-mail format. Not only are we working on that, but throughout the year, we’ll be introducing new and improved ways for you to discover the world of cars, including our award-winning coverage of the world’s major auto shows.
Once the dust settles, we’ll be hard at work on new features and new technology, as well as great car stories. Until then, we’d like to get your feedback – just drop us a note at [email protected].
