The 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt SS sedan peeked out from under its veil of secrecy today, as GM let slip with a single shot of the new hotted-up four-door.
No details were available with the photo. But earlier this year, Chevrolet released pricing info on the two-door Cobalt SS, which is priced from $22,995, including destination.
We expect the four-door will share the coupe's turbocharged 2.0-liter Ecotec four. GM says that car whips out an impressive 0-60 mph time of 5.7 seconds, made possible by the turbo four and a five-speed manual transmission. The four-door probably will also get a sport-tuned suspension for improved handling, and Brembo brakes and 18-inch forged aluminum wheels like the coupe.
A turbo boost gauge, special interior trim and a spoiler will be a part of the package as well, along with XM radio, OnStar, and a premium sound system. Options likely will include an upgraded sound system, sunroof, a rear wing spoiler, and a limited slip differential.
We'll bring you the details as soon as we can confirm them.
