Screwed, Porked, Hosed and More: One Dealer Shows You Everything

March 27, 2008
What's the first word you think of when you describe a car dealership experience? One Massachusetts group of showrooms has beaten you to the punch -- and their ads get pretty graphic to show exactly why they're different from their competitors.

This YouTube ad's a pitch for Clay family dealerships. They're online, of course, selling Chevrolets, Nissans, Hyundais and Subarus in the south Boston suburbs. Instead of using all the usual tricks of the trade -- the ones that make shoppers haul out the abusive words like "screwed," "porked," "hosed," and some even more colorful phrases -- the Clay group's putting their motto into four simple words.

Take a look at their promise in this YouTube clip. I particularly like the "nuclear launch codes" reference, since it seems we might not know exactly where our nuke parts are headed these days.

As far as YouTube clips go, pretty work-safe, possibly not lunch-safe.
