Paris Hilton, Michelle Rodriguez, George Michael - there's a growing roster of celebs who've been convicted of driving under the influence and managed not to hurt anyone else. And each one of them could take a lesson from TV's Ty Pennington.

Hilton finds herself facing jail time for not knowing whether her license had been suspended after a driving charge. Rodriguez had a problem with probation and DUI. Michael copped pleas in repeated sleeping stints behind the wheel, blaming them on "tiredness and prescribed drugs."

So, while we hammer on home-fix-it star Ty Pennington for his extreme shouting, he's the first star to get the humble moment right this year. Arrested for DUI, Pennington made the smart and correct move - humility. The first official statement out of his publicist was contrite, the finger pointed right back at himself. "We all make mistakes, however this is about accountability," the AP quotes Pennington. "Under no circumstances should anyone consume alcohol while driving. I could have jeopardized the lives of others and I am grateful there was no accident or harm done to anyone."
