The Audi A6 is near the end of its production cycle, but it still stands well against rival mid-size luxury sedans, and its design has aged well; on the other hand in today’s market the S90 feels more distinct with respect to surfaces and details.
The BMW 5-Series is also soon due to be replaced, but delivers impressive refinement and interior space, along with a long list of available tech features like a head-up display and night vision.
The Acura RLX is actually very pleasant to drive in front-wheel-drive form, although it’s not as much of a standout in style as others in its class.
Finally, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class is also due for a redesign; the current version is probably the most conservative (yet comfort-oriented) pick in the class, but the new version finally steps up styling and design to match the smaller C-Class and larger S-Class.
