Rival automakers are starting to catch onto the Subaru Outback’s recipe for success.
This year, the Buick Regal is reborn and its TourX configuration is a near carbon-copy of the Subaru.
Audi and Volvo have been onto the Outback for a while with their Allroad and V60 Cross Country models respectively, but they’re priced around $10,000 more comparably equipped.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee mirrors the Outback’s five-seater configuration and has a similarly classy feel on- and off-road.
And if the Outback’s not quite SUV-enough for you, the Subaru Forester is priced about the same and has a higher seating position with a boxier body.
