2015 Subaru Crosstrek vs. Its Competition

2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek
Bengt Halvorson Bengt Halvorson Senior Editor

The Subaru XV Crosstrek competes against a variety of small and carlike all-wheel drive vehicles.

Those range from Mitsubishi's smallest offering, the Outlander Sport, to the carlike MINI Cooper Countryman--which suffers from a harsh ride.

Subaru's own Forester can be considered similar, although it is somewhat larger and more of a crossover than the hatch-based Crosstrek.

Jeep's new Renegade matches pretty well in size and also has car-based roots, while the aging Jeep Compass and Patriot are slightly roomier though not quite as efficient.
