2015 Subaru BRZ vs. Its Competition

The Scion FR-S costs around $1,300 less and drives as well as the BRZ, but offers fewer standard features and available options.

We'd recommend driving both, though, since they have slightly different driving dynamics.

The Mazda MX-5 Miata is the next closest competitor, though it's due for a replacement soon.

The Miata comes with the added joys of driving with the top down, but the BRZ is more practical in the long run.

If you're looking for more power, the Nissan 370Z is more expensive, but equally fun.

However, it lacks the BRZ's perfect balance.

The Hyundai Genesis Coupe offers more power in either of its engines, and makes for a better daily driver, too.

And, there's the Ford Mustang V-6, which offers an entirely different kind of sports car for similar money.

With the new engine lineup for 2015, it might even be as fuel-efficient, too.
