2012 Rolls-Royce Phantom vs. Its Competition

2010 Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe
Nelson Ireson Nelson Ireson Senior Editor

There is really only one true competitor to the Rolls-Royce Phantom, and that's its own cross-country rival, the Bentley Mulsanne.

Priced in a similar range and styled with similar attention to classic British taste, the Mulsanne is simply a different take on the same basic idea of automotive excess.

Daimler's Maybach brand could also be considered a rival in terms of price, luxury, and exclusivity, but it is approaching defunct status this year, even though double-digit sales at best in previous years have effectively relegated it to the same status already.
