2020 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport vs. Its Competition

The 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport has met a host of new competitors in the subcompact SUV segment in recent years, almost all of which have the benefit of being newer (and frankly, better) than the Mitsu.

Ford’s “new” EcoSport borrows a design sold overseas for years already but does offer competitive standard features despite its small size.

The Hyundai Kona is a funky-looking newcomer, but its quality and drivability are already among the best in the segment.

The Jeep Renegade is the subcompact for buyers who wish they’d had a Wrangler, so it has more character than other subcompact crossovers.

The Nissan Rogue Sport has the benefit of a bit more size, but its value is more than competitive.

Finally, the Subaru Crosstrek has proven a popular option in recent years for its capability and ruggedness and is still the subcompact crossover to beat.
