2017 Lincoln MKZ vs. Its Competition

2017 Lincoln MKZ

The 2017 Lincoln MKZ is a premium model; but whether it's a luxury sedan depends on how you see this vehicle, as well as the Lincoln badge.

The Buick LaCrosse is more or less in the same situation; the Buick has been redesigned for 2017 and should be even more of a luxury car this time around, although it's certainly not as much of a sport sedan as the MKZ in 400-hp AWD guise.

The Lexus ES is anything but sporty, but it's large, comfortable, and relentlessly reliable—as well as great in resale value and fiscal factors.

The Audi A4 has also been given a redesign for 2017 that adds up to a quieter, more stylish cabin, with this model otherwise continuing to bridge the ground between sport sedans and comfort-luxury models.

The Acura TLX has been recently redesigned and its handling is winning raves.

Its advanced dual-clutch transmission's also getting noticed as it carries on the brand's tradition of packing in innovative technology into a performance-minded, comfortable package.

The stylish Volvo S60 can work if you choose the right set of options, and it's offered in a longer S60 L model with more back-seat space.

Quick Specs
With available 400-hp, all-wheel-drive performance, plus a new face and more features, the 2017 MKZ could be an advance team for a different sort of Lincoln.
The 2017 Acura TLX is a near-luxury competitor in a luxury field crowded with very good (and very pricey) cars with European badges on them.
The 2017 Audi A4 advances its sport-sedan credentials in lots of incremental ways, but the virtual cockpit drops the digital mic.
An excellent chassis and a nice interior mean the LaCrosse should be on your shopping list. At the low end, it represents an excellent value and should be on any full-size sedan buyer's shopping list.
The 2017 Volvo V60 wagon is practical and spacious, with some of the best seats in the business. Trust us—no really, trust us—this is just as capable as an SUV.
