The Lexus NX competes now in a hyper-competitive segment that arrived overnight.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC Class and BMW X3 are stalwarts of the segment, and very good in their own rights, although we'd probably give the edge to the Benz for its body style (but beware of the color selection).
Audi's Q5 will be all new next year, so we'll withhold judgement and comparison until we have more time in those cars.
The Acura RDX is a sleeper in the segment because of its age, even though it's a very good crossover with strong V-6 power.
The Volvo XC60 may be an old car by now, but it's still among the safest and most attractive.
