2017 Kia K900 vs. Its Competition

2017 Kia K900
Andrew Ganz Andrew Ganz Senior Editor

The Kia K900 slots into an odd spot in the market; it's a little larger than most similarly-priced mid-size sedans, which means it may be too big for some drivers.

Then again, some may be attracted to its value size dimensions and pricing.

Its most obvious rival is the Genesis G80, which shares much of its underpinnings and its engine.

The G80 is a terrific vehicle and it's about $8,500 less than the K900.

If you're attracted to the K900, you'll want to shop the G80 and then demand a massive discount on the K900.

Other worthy adversaries also include the stylish Volvo S90, the roomy and unique Infiniti Q70, the polished Cadillac CTS, and the advanced Acura RLX.

Each brings something unique to the segment—something we can't really say about the K900, unfortunately.

Quick Specs
6.6
With so little to set it apart, the Kia K900 blends into the background among big luxury sedans.
6.5
If the Acura RLX's weak sales figures are anything to go by, its subtlety is lost on most consumers.
7.5
The 2017 Cadillac CTS-V impresses on all fronts, unseating BMW and Mercedes-Benz by offering the best combination of performance and day-to-day livability in the large luxury/sport sedan segment.
8.3
The 2017 Genesis G80 is one of the first new cars from the nascent luxury carmaker, and it's a good leg to stand on.
